I would prefer not to, as otherwise Ultros will definitely not have a guard.
What about FreeAgent don't you trust?

he claimed he would "most likely" be guarding me so i just PMed him asking him to please do so if i don't get guarded and i die, he may say he didn't get my PM in time BUT HE WILL PROBABLY BE EVIL SO THERE i hope i don't die

So I'm trying to write a program that will help me figure out battles in this godsforsaken game. Can anyone better explain the fighting algorithm? It's a bit hazy in some situations I think.

Eh? It's not particularly complicated. The Battle Mechanics section of the OP quite clearly explains the meat and potatoes of how a fight is resolved.

ATTACK SPEED = Speed. (note: If Attack Speed is at least three points higher, the unit with the higher Attack Speed will double attack.)
HIT RATE = 2*Skill + Weapon Hit Rate + Weapon Triangle - Target's Evade (note: Weapon Triangle gives +15/-15.)
EVADE = 2*Speed
DAMAGE = Strength/Magic + Weapon Might + Weapon Triangle - Target's Defense/Resistance (note: Weapon Triangle gives +1/-1. If Weapon is effective against Target, multiply outcome with 2.)

Specifically, I have problems with lance-lance or bow-lance type scenarios, where there's no specific answer. Is it zero? That's what I'm going with until I know better.
