Also, Fiaryn. Bloodbowl and Necromunda are, in my opinion, the best things Games Workshop ever released, along with Warhammer Quest. If you do want to learn how to play, we could play a few practice games without locking ourselves into team development (dead players don't stay dead, no star player points are gained, etc) I think, until you felt confident enough to play other PAers? I think people are migrating back to FUMBBL because it's just set out better than the Cyanide game, from what people saw of the beta. I never played Bloodbowl or Warhammer Quest but I can speak for Necromunda and Mordheim--they're awesome if you get a campaign going, and much cheaper than Warhammer or 40k. A thousand times this. Only needing to paint up about 15 models tops makes for a very affordable game, and you can have multiple teams easily. I've got, uh. Skaven (fully painted), Elves (about 80% of the team painted), then Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs, and Necromantic teams. I really need to invest in more paints, and finish up the other teams. I won a prize for my Skaven team in a tournament. It didn't help that, in said tournament, I won 5-0 in my first match, and thus got matched up against the three best coaches in ALL OF EUROPE for the next three matches. (I won one of them, and drew another, though!) I love the Elf team. They're so... fragile and not all that fast, etc. etc. But that Ag4 and the access to Agility skills (Dodge, to pair up with Block, anyone?) is just great. Also, Necromunda. We were looking through the skill lists for the gangs, and being an agile/sneaky/melee type person, I said I'd start a gang that used those three skills - Agility, Stealth and Melee. Turns out they were House Escher, who were all girls. I painted one with lovely pink hair and named her Candy.

How are Lizardmen in Blood Bowl? I am such a whore for the Lizardmen, they're one of my favorite races in Warhammer.

They're actually pretty good, but not one of the easier teams to use.
The have two player types that are pretty good in their own way, but no players that excel at handing the ball.
Saurus are the big Strength 4 players (strength 4 is a big thing, most players are strength 3), and are decently fast. Skinks are VERY fast, and have the usual 'dodge/right stuff/stunty' skills that small races have, that make them hard to knock down, good at getting out of trouble, and allow them to ignore tackle zones when dodging. This is pretty huge. However, if they go down, they tend to break easy.
Orcs are a VERY solid starting team. Not especially fast, but hugely durable, and the can start off with a player that has Sure Hands, which makes picking up and keeping hold of the ball pretty easy. There's a PA League just forming on FUMBBL, with a bunch of new people drawn in by the beta. You should maybe take a look! (You too, Jack. Count it as an apology for vigging me in the Nocturne phalla, you dick!)

Fuck Skaven!
I'd probably play predominantly Lizardmen and...I dunno. Humans maybe.

Getting set up for FUMBBL might take me a bit. It doesn't help that the recommended version of Java doesn't appear to be downloadable anymore.
That and I need to learn the rules :V

No, you would play Lizardmen... AND NORSE.
They start off with berseker guys with Frenzy and Jump Up, and all of them have Block. Block is the best skill ever.

Nay, for the LORD sayeth that the Norse are SUPERHUMAN.
Also, ahhahahahahaha! I had ground up from 35 to 42 in the Abandoned Highway, hunting for Bronze Suns with Fury Runes. I had gotten one, and I was just about to give up when I noticed everyone level up to 42...
And another Fury Rune dropped. 2 should be enough for now!

That's what I ended up doing. I got 2, then said fuck it and just used those 2 for the rest of the game. Stuck them on Fubar and Hugo.

Ah, I only put one on Hugo. Didn't think the one on Fubar would have an effect. Fubar has a Haziness Rune.

I confess I'm not actually certain if having it on both Fubar or Hugo makes a difference when mounted. I was too lazy to check WITH SCIENCE!
I did it for good measure anyway.
